When my wife Hailey and I chose Long Creek as our top magnet choice for our oldest daughter last year, we knew we had found a diamond in the rough. Now in our 2nd year at Long Creek, we are excited to be getting more involved in continuing to improve this outstanding school community. This will be my first time on a PTO board and I am both humbled and excited. Our oldest daughter will be in 1st grade at Long Creek this year and our youngest will be in Kindergarten in fall of 2022. My wife and I are both attorneys. I have been a criminal defense attorney with the Gaston County Public Defender’s Office for the past 9 years, while my wife is a managing partner and premier Estate Planning attorney at the law office of Stott, Hollowell, Wyndham, and Stancil. In addition to my normal duties at work, I supervise the Recovery Court program in Gaston County as well as the Social Work Internship partnership we have with UNCC. I am also currently the chair of the Community Service subcommittee through the Gaston County Bar Association. When I’m not working, I enjoy volunteering with Mount Holly Parks and Rec as a tee ball and (hopefully in the near future) softball coach. I’ve also been involved in Charlotte as the music director for the Dilworth Players Community Theater productions for the past 3 years. This school community is resilient and strong. We showed that through the Love For Long Creek Campaign this past spring. Let’s not stop there. Let’s not settle. Let’s come together and do something special here!
